This bass, which is one of three that I have owned, has great tone for pretty much any music style, it's very versatile, you can move the three way switching down to the bridge pickup to get a then tight bass sound for picking and slap bass, the middle with both pickups for any other style you want, and I never use the top switch position, the neck pickup, but I know it would sound good for some style of music. I pramarily use the two pickups together, this sound is great for alternative, light rock or metal... I'm more into the rock and punk rock sound. and this bass sounds great for both styles. I play it through a Fender Frontman which is pushing a 6x10 Traynor cab(dont ask how, but it does) at home for practise, and I use it at my church through a Basstech 150. And it sounds great on the Basstech, and on my Frontman. The Basstech can make the most pathetic bass, like a Rogue 200 XL, sound beautiful though.
This bass is not noisy at all. It has a nice deep sound and it has great sustain on any of the pickup selections. I honestly must say I like everything about this bass!!

Именно активная электроника, т.е. встроенный пред, датчики - пассив.
А что ты называешь нормальным деревом??? А вообще это отдельный разговор. Желающим пофлудить лучше создать свой топик, а интересующимся лучше приехать и послушать. 5 500 р. - действительно низкая цена за этот инструмент.
