This program is for making M-Services Backup file . You can use this file to transfer new ringtones and
wallpapers for motorola t720 over cable. To transfer files you will need Motorola PST Tools installed.
I have tried it with PST 4.9 but i think that you will be able to use version 4.8 also. Also I should
say that this program has been tested with Motorola t720 GSM version. I don't know if it will work on
Verizon version.
Here are the steps:
1. You need to install Motorola PST Tools. Mine are installed on Windows 98 SE. I have heard that
you can run it on Windows 2000 but not on XP,95,NT or 98.
2. Midi and gif files should NOT have read-only attribute. So be sure to check this. Also I think that
gifs shouldn't be larger than 15 Kb.
3. Run MBE.exe.
4. You have two options: Loading Wallpapers and Ringtones. To load new file just click on Add.
Multiple selection is supported. At statusbar you can find info about space that you will
need to have on your phone.
5. You can rename files on list and you can use arrorws to sort files the way you want.
6. After loading all files. Click on "Make M-Services Backup File". Type the filename you want.
Just be sure that extension is .ems
7. Before exiting program be sure to click on "Clear PST Copy Protection". When you are putting
new files on you phone you will have to click on this otherwise PST will give you some
error about restoring already "restored" files.
8. Now Run "Phone Programmer". You can find it on start menu or you can run it from PST folder.
In PST folder this program is called "UT_NVM.exe".
9. Click on File -> Open -> M-Services Backup. Now choose the file from step 6.
10. And final step: Click on Phone->Write.
This version is beta. I wrote this prog. in one day so there could be some bugs.
